Volunteers from across the Group spent the day supporting Heart Research UK at the Forest of Hearts annual fete.
The event, held in Stratford on Sunday 17th September raised joint funds for Heart Research UK in the Midlands, the Forest of Hearts, and the charity Goodwill and Growth for Africa (GAGA).
Over £1,500 was raised on the day which in addition to helping hearts across the Midlands will also help over 500 people to access vital medical care in rural South Africa.
Carole Longden, Event Organiser from Forest Of Hearts, added: “I just wanted to say a very BIG thanks to all of our volunteers for your help this weekend on teas, car park, stalls, setting up, selling raffle tickets, selling juice and Pomecco, the wonderful dog show, the fabulous drumming and bhangra, sorting sound systems, pegging out bunting, setting up and taking down wet gazebos. We couldn’t do it without your support and we raised over £1500, which is fantastic.”
Part of the Group’s ‘Engineering A Better Future’ corporate social responsibility programme, adi has created a charity of the year initiative whereby employees elect a chosen charity which we then support through all fundraising activities in that calendar year. Since 2016, the Group has supported Heart Research UK with over £11,000 raised to date.
