adi Group Featured In EY Foundation School To Work White Paper
adi’s Pre-Apprentice Programme was recently cited in a white paper produced by EY as part of their School To Work campaign.
The School to Work campaign aims to embed an accredited School to Work Framework into the curriculum so that every person aged 9 to 18 is better prepared for the world of work.
The Framework aims to increase engagement between employers and schools and develop the core skills young people need to thrive in the modern workplace, and understand the diversity of routes into work.
adi Group featured alongside Santander and Johnstons of Elgin as exemplary examples of businesses bridging the gap from school to the workplace.
The Group was featured for its pioneering Pre-Apprenticeship Programme. Launched in 2016 in partnership with North Bromsgrove High School, through a structured and accredited course students aged 14-16 learn the practical, hands-on skills needed to carve a career in either mechanical or electrical engineering. These include welding, basic wiring, health and safety and reading technical drawings. The Group’s long-term vision is to establish schemes for younger children to broaden its impact.
