
Alan Lusty, chief executive of Midlands-based engineering solutions firm, adi Group, has been named to the shortlist of EY’s Midlands Entrepreneur of the Year.
The Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards honours the spirit and contribution of entrepreneurs in the UK and across the globe. For 30 years globally and 17 years in the UK, the awards have recognised exceptional men and women who are actively shaping the future through their entrepreneurial businesses.
The regional finals will take place on 14 June at Birmingham’s Council House. Winners will go on to compete for the EY Entrepreneur of the Year UK 2016 accolade in London in October with the overall victor representing the UK at EY’s World Entrepreneur of the Year Awards in Monte Carlo in 2017.
Since founding the company in 1990 as a single business offering, Alan has developed adi into a completely self-funded multi-disciplined Group. Under Alan’s direction it has enjoyed exponential growth, quadrupling in size since 2005 and culminating in a 2014 turnover of £64m and staff of over 450 based in 11 locations.
With a reputation for his dynamic business approach and dedication to corporate social responsibility, Alan is known for his visionary commitment to inspiring the next generation of engineers whilst fostering a sense of community in the workplace.
