Alan Lusty Named In UK’s Top 100 Manufacturing Leaders
Alan Lusty, chief executive of Midlands-based engineering solutions firm, adi Group, has been named in The Manufacturer’s Top 100 most influential industry role models for 2015.

Since founding the business in 1990 as a single business offering, Alan has developed adi into a completely self-funded multi-disciplined Group. Under Alan’s direction it has enjoyed exponential growth, quadrupling in size since 2005 and culminating in a 2014 turnover of £64m and staff of over 450 based in 11 locations.
With a reputation for his dynamic business approach and dedication to corporate social responsibility, Alan is known for his visionary commitment to inspiring the next generation of engineers whilst fostering a sense of community in the workplace.
The list also features industry leaders including Fiona Kendrick, chief executive officer and chairman for Nestlé UK and Ireland, Nigel Whitehead, group managing director of Programmes and Support for BAE, and Mike Turner CBE, chairman of Babcock International and GKN.
Commenting on his inclusion in the Top 100, Alan said: “I’m extremely proud to be included in the 2015 Top 100 – an initiative that highlights the vibrancy of the manufacturing sector, showing the world what we as an industry have to offer.
“To be listed alongside the best of UK manufacturing talent in our 25th year is an enormous honour, and the result of not only my own hard work, but that of the whole team at adi, and the unwavering support of my family.”
Member of the judging panel, BDO’s Tom Lawton, said: “In my view manufacturing is the most important sector in the rebalancing of the UK economy and for the second year The Manufacturer Top 100 is providing an essential platform to recognise talented role models who will inspire and attract future generations.”BACK TO ARTICLES
