To put responsibility at the heart of our Business Operations, we made the decision to create our very own Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee who discuss and drive all CSR activity internally and externally.
As a business we recognise the importance of being committed and playing our part to grow a sustainable organisation in order to ensure a safe environment for our employees, whilst also minimising the impact on the environment by ourselves, our customers and our supply chain. CSR and sustainability isn’t a bolt on for adi, it sits at the core of our business and is a key driver of all business operations.
That’s why each member of the CSR Committee is responsible for a particular area of CSR which includes all of the above. The team is headed up by adi’s CEO, Alan Lusty who is Chairman of the CSR Committee. CSR is something that Alan is extremely passionate about and this platform allows the Group to integrate CSR seamlessly across the business.
But it’s more than just a committee.
Our CSR outreach extends down to our employees.
Our people are the driving force behind being a responsible business and contribute to the success of our initiatives – they make it happen. In fact, many of our employees are actively involved with our CSR activities both inside and outside of work hours, directly and indirectly.
Whether it’s nominating employees for our annual employee awards, coming up with their own charitable initiatives, taking part in events to raise money for our chosen charity of the year, volunteering, talking at local schools about their life experiences, assisting students at events, showcasing our CSR activity and achievements to our clients and suppliers, mentoring apprentices, mentoring placements, raising awareness and health and safety standards on site, and more. Every little helps.
We look forward to sharing more of our Responsible Business Journey with you as the week unfolds! Keep an eye on our blog and social media channels to learn more about what adi Group is doing during RBWeek2016!
