adi Projects Appoints New Business Development Director
Birmingham based engineering firm, adi Group, is delighted to announce the appointment of Ian Hart as Business Development Director of adi Projects, a key pillar of the group’s Vision 2020 growth strategy, which aims to more than double a turnover of £82 million to £200 million in the next four years.
A Chartered Mechanical Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Ian brings with him a wealth of engineering, project management and business development experience, having worked in a number of sectors, including Food and Drink, Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare, Chemicals and Data Centres, as well as a number of more specialist areas that align very well with adi’s multi-disciplinary service offering.
A lengthy and successful career has seen Ian work in a series of directorial roles and amass over 20 years of leadership experience. Ian has made notable contributions to some of the UK’s market leading companies, including Veolia, Courtaulds Engineering, Laing Construction and Taylor Woodrow, and was a key figure in establishing the PM Group in Britain.
adi’s Group Strategic Account Director, James Sopwith, is excited by Ian’s appointment, seeing yet another win for the firm, which has enjoyed ongoing growth since it was founded by CEO, Alan Lusty, in 1990.
“The fact we are able to attract and secure the services of someone of the calibre of Ian says a lot about where adi Group is at as a firm. The knowledge and experience he has built over the years, not least his project set-up expertise, put us in a very strong position to achieve our short and longer term goals.
“adi Projects, on which Ian’s efforts will focus, is central to us reaching those objectives, enabling us to plan entire projects on behalf of clients and coordinate the full range of our capabilities to ensure our clients enjoy seamless and efficient delivery throughout each project, right through the feasibility study stages through to full construction and hand-over.”
Ian Hart sees great potential in adi Projects and the wider adi Group. He said of his appointment, “The vision and enthusiasm of Alan Lusty and the whole team is infectious, so the decision to team up with adi Projects was simple. I’m looking forward to exploring new avenues and opportunities on the firm’s behalf and exercising our full skills base to the benefit of clients.”
“They should know that they can come to adi for complete project delivery. If they have a problem, we can solve it and all they need worry about is defining what they want us to do. We take responsibility, we bring continuity and we build relationships for the long run.”
