Students from adi Group’s Business In The Community ‘Business Class’ partner school attended our Head Office in Kings Norton on Monday 9th May for a Taster Day Event.
The 12 pre-apprentice students visited our workshops and received some instruction on basic electrics, as well as getting the chance to see some demonstrations of Mechanical, Electrical and Automation engineering concepts in practice. The students also got to meet members of our head office teams (and Aldo!) and ask experienced members of staff any burning questions about engineering on the tour in preparation for an NVQ level 1 course commencing this September.
One of the highlights for the students was the workshop tour learning about control panels, tools of the trade and watching adi Mechanical Apprentice, Peter Eborall, in action cutting Metal sheets for a project.
An enjoyable day was had by all and we look forward to welcoming the students back to adi in the future. Stay tuned for future updates on our ongoing partnership with North Bromsgrove High School in the coming weeks and months.
