The Opportunity
A household confectionary name had made a significant UK investment in a number of fully automated production lines and following commissioning were in need of lower temperatures within the production area.
The Solution
The adi Climate Systems team monitored the areas to determine where the high temperatures were causing the greatest operational issues and then proposed a ventilation system utilising fabric socks. This approach provided the benefit of being hygienic and also light enough to be installed within the constraints of the existing production equipment.
The ventilation air handling plant was installed outside of the facility and incorporated energy saving characteristics such as free cooling and air recirculation. A full automatic control system was also installed which was then integrated into the site building management system
The Benefits
The design and installation undertaken by adi Climate Systems contributed to delivering the overall equipment effectiveness [OEE] of the new confectionary production facility.
